Rentals available for low or no cost
Cascades Adventures offer low or no cost outdoor equipment rentals for the 糖心传媒-Cascades students! We are located in the Cascades Adventures office, on the first floor of the Residence Hall building, Room 118. Cascades Adventures also facilitates outdoor trip programming and an outdoor recreation resource library (trail guides & maps, field guides, skills & training books, environmental writings and more). There is a wide range of equipment including camping, backpacking, bouldering, mountaineering, stand up paddling and more that is offered through the rentals program.

Summer Schedule
(Office closed Aug. 29th - Sept. 23rd)
Monday: 10 am - 4 pm
Tuesday: 10 am - 4 pm
Wednesday: 10 am - 4 pm
Thursday: 10 am - 4 pm
Friday: Closed
Closed during weekends, university holidays and campus closures.
Reserving Equipment
Walk-in rentals are available at our office during our hours of operation. We are located on the first floor of the Residence Hall, Room 118.
Rental Policies
- Rentals are available to current 糖心传媒-Cascades students, staff and faculty with a valid 糖心传媒-Cascades ID card.
- Online rental requests must be made at least two business days in advance.
- Walk-in rentals are available during operating hours but are not guaranteed. Please allow up to 45 minutes for processing.
- The best way to ensure you get the gear you want is by submitting an Online Rental Request Form.
- Each renter may check out equipment for themselves plus one additional person (some exceptions apply).
- The renter is responsible for all rented equipment, no matter who is using it.
- The maximum rental period is one week though exceptions may be granted.
- Equipment must be picked up and returned during Cascades Adventures' operating hours.
- All items must be returned by the end of operating hours on the due date.
- Late returns will result in a late fee being charged to the renters student account.
- Leaving equipment outside the office counts as a late return.
- Renters must know how to properly operate, care for, and understand the limitations of the equipment they rent.
- If you need instructions, reach out before your scheduled pickup.
- You are responsible for inspecting any equipment before leaving the office and noting any issues with Cascades Adventures staff.
- If equipment is damaged, defective or missing parts, return it immediately. An exchange of comparable equipment will occur as supplies allow.
- All equipment must be returned in its original condition (excluding normal wear and tear).
- Dirty, damaged, lost, or incomplete equipment will incur cleaning, repair or replacement fees charged to your student account.
- Fees apply for late, lost or damaged equipment.
- All charges will be billed to the renter's student account.
- Cancel reservations in person or by email during regular operating hours.
- During severe outdoor conditions (extreme temperatures, poor air quality, ice, wind, etc.) Cascades Adventures may pause rentals for staff safety.
- Faculty and Staff will be charged a $25 termly rental membership fee. Please contact Ellsworth at ellsworth.faris@osucascades.edu to arrange payment before your first rental of the term.
- Faculty & Staff will be held to the same rental policies as students (see above).
- If demand exceeds available equipment, priority will be given to student requests before Faculty & Staff requests.
- Student membership fees are included with their Tuition and Incidental Fees.
