Description

Few professions have the potential to impact lives like teaching. Our , cohort-based teaching program offers Master of Arts in Teaching degrees in elementary and secondary education, as well as coursework to support continuing learning and accreditation. Teaching faculty focus on instructional strategies and methods, best practices, research-driven theory, and practical experiences to prepare teaching candidates for an Oregon Preliminary Teaching License.

With a physical campus and modern classroom buildings, we are the only public university offering a site-based teaching degree in Central Oregon. Our exceptional in-classroom instruction uses a cohort model where students form strong relationships with peers and faculty. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½-Cascades MAT students earn endorsements in elementary or secondary disciplines and have the option to add the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement. This program can be completed in either one or two years.

â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹Teaching at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½-Cascades is classified as in-person. However, the elementary endorsement is classified as hybrid as one required course is delivered through ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Ecampus.
