Housing during breaks in the academic year
The 糖心传媒-Cascades residence hall will remain open during all breaks. Break housing is included in all room and board rates. Residents who are not staying for break housing, must prepare their room for the extended break.
All residents can leave their belongings in their rooms during break periods as long as their Room and Dining Contract is current and they have an active contract for the following term. Information about break housing will be sent to active residents two weeks prior to each break.
The Beaver Dam dining center may be open with a limited schedule during scheduled breaks. There is no extra dining plan option for break periods. Students scheduled to stay over breaks may use their regular term meal plan if money is still on it, or are encouraged to use and add to the money on their Orange Cash accounts. The next term鈥檚 meal plan dollars will not be available for use until the start of the next term.
Housing during breaks between the academic year and summer term
End of Spring term to start of Summer term
Students who complete their housing contract through the end of Spring term and have an active Summer housing reservation may continue to live in the residence hall during the June break. Students who will be residing in the residence hall for a minimum of 8 weeks during Summer term will not be charged for break housing. Students who have a Summer term contract with a length of less than 8 weeks will be charged a daily rate for break housing.
Students who do not have an active Summer term housing reservation must vacate their room by 5:00pm on the last day of Spring term. Extensions are only granted for students participating in or volunteering for Commencement.
End of Summer term to start of Fall term
Students who complete their housing contract through the end of Summer term and have an active Fall housing reservation may continue to live in the residence hall during the September break. Students who resided in the residence hall for a minimum of 8 weeks during Summer term will not be charged for break housing. Students who have a Summer term contract with a length of less than 8 weeks will be charged a daily rate for break housing.
Students who do not have an active Fall term housing reservation must vacate their room by 5:00pm on the last day of Summer term.
